At the conclusion of the conference, attendees should be able to:

  • Demonstrate the basic principles of antifungal onychomycosis resistance

  • Properly diagnose and treat webspace infections

  • Understand how to use your EMR to properly document and limit risk

  • Understand biofilms and proper wound prep prior to graft application

  • Properly diagnose and treat ankle fractures in adults and children

  • Better understand the pros and cons of fusion in hallux limitus

  • How to properly plan external fixation

  • Understand the benefits of assessing arterial flow prior to podiatric procedures

  • Understanding how equinus and limb length discrepancy effects athletic performance

  • Improved understanding of complex foot & ankle deformities and how they are corrected

  • Understand the basic principles of dermpathology and its application to diagnose various skin pathologies

  • Demonstrate improved knowledge of the best approach for bunion correction

  • Properly plan for flatfoot reconstruction

  • Demonstrate basic principles and utilization of hardware in foot surgery

ACCREDITATION

Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. Barry University has approved the 2022 Toes in the Sand Conference for a maximum of 10 continuing education contact hours.

Approximately two weeks following the seminar, you will receive a certificate of attendance via e-mail.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Requests received by August 4, 2022: A full refund will be provided for all cancellations.

After August 4, 2022: No refunds will be provided. Exceptions will be considered for extenuating circumstances only, such as medical issues or a death in the family.

*** PBCPMA members who registered for the conference and do not cancel by August 4, 2022 will incur a $100 cancellation fee.

An alternate attendee from the same organization may be substituted at any time prior to the conference start with no penalty. However, if the original attendee is an active member (APMA and FPMA) and the alternate is not, the difference in member/non-member rate must be paid at the time of substitution.

Once a registration is made, it is considered final. Refunds will not be granted for no-shows.
